Obituary

JONES, Frances Trudy, went home on March 20, 2015. A life is measured on the people whose lives ones have touched. Trudy touched many. A simple woman growing up in Huntington, W.V. Trudy moved to Brandon and married the love of her life Jim Jones. Trudy was elegant with a mind of her own. If you ever met our Trudy you would truly believe that she was the reincarnation of some beautiful princess, always dressed immaculately and moving with grace and dignity. She was also selfless, volunteering her time for many years at Brandon Regional Hospital helping others. But every princess' life comes with great difficulties. The loss of her beloved mother whom she cared for, for many years, the loss of her son, and her beautiful daughter, Shelley. Through all this Trudy fought. Fought to stay strong. Fought to not be a burden to others. Then her wonderful Jim went home to be with God. Trudy still fought as hard as she could. On March 20 God walked into her room, said enough is enough, took her hand and said "time to come home, everyone is waiting, you don't have to be strong anymore, as now I will take care of you." She is survived by many friends/relatives. People who adored her. The staff at Brandon Health and Rehab who held her hand through this entire journey. The second love of her life, Frank Genuardi who was truly a son to her and his angel wife, Karen who always was there for her. Her beloved, nieces from California, Rene and Sonya who gave her one of the best weeks of her life and to whom we are forever grateful. Remember my Trudy you are my heart and "I love you more" A Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Stowers Funeral Home.
